Happy Mother's Day!!!!

It has been a lovely Mother's Day!
I got breakfast in bed (pancakes, bacon & sausage, & milk). Isabelle gave me a couple of poems and Ben made me a calendar with his finger/hand prints. Matt bought me a mop...cheap you might say, but I REQUESTED it! He asked me what I wanted and I told him (good man!). We are on a budget & as of right now, I have no serious wants...lucky guy =)!!!
Here are the kids doing dishes....HOORAY!!!!

Matt grilled steaks, with sauteed mushrooms & onions, corn on the cob, and baked potatoe....yummm...this is what heaven truly looks like!

Isabelle & Ben with me & our yummy dinner (I got to eat off of the special occasion plate too!)

We made homemade ice cream in bags. It was cold but SO fun! Matt didn't like it too well...I don't think it was creamy enough for him (we used skim milk). But I LOVE ice milk so it was divine!

Isabelle & Matt with their ice cream!

Me & Ben with our ice cream!
It was a super delightful day! I have been pampered and have been given a lot of love =)
Today the primary sang "Love is Spoken Here" in sacrament meeting. It turned out AMAZING! I was SO proud of those kids! All that hard work totally paid off =)
Happy Mother's Day to all you mother's out there!!!!

The Zoo!

Here are the adventures of Matt and Isabelle at the Hogle Zoo, May 4th, Kindergarten Field trip. This is my absolute favorite picture they took. They are on the zoo playground.

Here is Isabelle and Matt's other charge Kayla Loomis. Here they are visiting the tigers...real and fake =)

Giraffe's!!!!

On the playground again. LOOK! There are sitting on Aragog!!!

Turtle Isabelle!

Cave dwellers Isabelle and Kayla.

Posing with big elephant. It makes noise and squirts water.

Gorilla Isabelle!
They had SO much fun!
Isabelle's favorite part was looking at the rhino's with the birds on their backs!
Her whole class wore red tie dyed shirts so they wouldn't get lost. Too cute!

Makeup Post #1 Dr. Suess's almost birthday

Yeah I know I should fix the picture and rotate it. But I am lazy right now and it is just easier on me if you tilt your head =) Thanks!Ben celebrated Dr. Suess's almost birthday at circle time on February 18th. It was alot of fun and they got to play in "Oobleck"!!!!
Ben LOVED it. And yes I dug in too. The other moms would touch it but that's it. It's just cornstarch, water, and food coloring...but oh so fun!

So Bad!

So whenever I take a picture I use my camera because I don't have a regular camera. Then I straight way text it to my e-mail. Well I was just looking through my e-mail.....YIKES!!!! There are so many pictures. So that means so many blog posts left undone...whoops! So I am going to try to catch up. We'll see how that goes!

I'm green....with envy

So Matt went with Isabelle to her end of the year fieldtrip to the Hogle zoo. I am seriously green-eyed today. Although I am seriously excited for them too. Sigh....
Hopefully he will take lots of pictures and I will post them all for you. Then we can all live the adventure through pictures together =)

Gibson's

The Gibson's came to visit us!!!! Okay it was last month, but I just received these pictures (thanks Shannon!). It was so fun! These are our dear friends from California, during the good old Chino days! Shannon and I hung out pretty much ALL the time. It was fabulous. So they were in Utah and stopped by for the evening! It was great! I really have missed them =) Here is Jacob and Isabelle. They have been betrothed for years=) Shannon had him get down on one knee, I think they thought it was pretty silly, but humored us anyway!

Matt, Emma & Bill! She looks SO teeny tiny next to these huge men!

Shannon & I! Aren't we adorable???

Here I am texting a picture of us to my Mom!

Ben and Andrew! They were such good little buddies!
Well, there is our adventure. I wish I could have made them stay longer, but we will see them in California in a few weeks!

Squishiness

One of the 4th graders (I think it was 4th) at school pointed to my hair and asked me if it hurts when its like this. I told her no. She then wanted to know how I got it like this. I told her it grows this way. She looked at me like I was a wee bit crazy and said when her mom does her hair like mine, it hurts! Crazy kid! I love the random things elementary kids say to me!
I guess maybe it could look like it hurts...but I like to think of it as a soft squishy portable pillow that I get to lay my head on whenever I please. Jealous? LOL

Knit or Die!!!!

Ummmm...so yeah...I just knitted this! I know! I am amazing!!! Hahahaha...ok so really not amazing. Josh and mom are cause they totally walked me through this whole knitting thing. And even when I wanted to give up they wouldn't let me. It is a headband/ear warmer.
I originally bought the yarn in February cause it was still cold out and it would be useful. Well then I couldn't figure out the pattern and I decided to wait for more professional help (aka mom & josh. they are knifty knitters). They helped me last weekend cause we were all together for Josh's graduation (GO JOSH!). I was kinda bummed cause it is now Spring and I would have to wait until this fall to use it....but no sirree...Isabelle wore this today when we went shopping cause it was cold and alternated between snow & rain (would someone please tell the weather it is SPRING!). She looked absolutely adorable. I will get a picture of her in it soon =)

GO WILDCATS!!!

I love my Mother!!! And I am SOOOOO grateful for her support! Love ya Mom!
