Stinker bug...

So yesterday I picked up Ben fro his tumbling class. His teacher told me he was just full of excuses today & really didn't want to do anything. He just kept telling her stories....one story I confronted Ben about....this is how it went...
Me: So Ben, Miss Victoria told me you had a sore neck today.
Ben: yeah...sigh
Me: So, how did you get your sore neck?
Ben: Ummm...it just hurts.
Me: That's not what Miss Victoria said.
Ben: Oh.
Me: She said that you told her it hurts because your sister choked you.
Isabelle: I did not!
Ben: Yes, you did!
Isabelle: No I Didn't!!!
Ben: (voice gets a little small) not at all?
Isabelle: No!
Ben: (voice gets even smaller) never???
Isabelle: No!
Ben: (contemplative) hmmm...

Yeah, nice try Ben! Come up with a more plausible excuse next time! What a stinker!

WHY, WHY, WHY????

So, I am still learning about this blogging business.
I've gotten posting down pretty well, I can even add pictures, and blah blah blah
So, yeah, I'm still figuring this stuff out.
Ummm...I somehow managed to delete my blog list.
I just stared at my screen thinking that somehow it would pop back up & everything would be great...no...it didn't...I am now friendless....sigh...
So if you would please let me know what your address is then i can add you again. Yes, so I can stalk you on your blog, everyday, all day...ok not really all day, but I really like reading your blogs so I can keep up with what is going on with you!

P.S. I am REALLY annoyed with myself right now.

You spin me right round, baby, right round

So it's monday now...
I woke up feeling a little sick to my stomach & dizzy. This stinks!
And no, I'm not prego.
I am just glad I can at least move around and not have to be blindfolded.
Took a little snoozer & some tylenol & feel a bit better.

Isabelle's Birthday...

So here is the report on the rest of Isabelle's birthday.
I took her out of school (it was only during lunch, so don't freak out. She didn't miss anything beside sitting in the lunchroom and playing on the playground). We went to Arby's. She kept telling me it was the best day of her life! Yes, that made me extremely happy!!!
We also sent cupcakes to school with her...also made her very excited!
The kids in her class made her birthday cards, so fun & cute....but...she is like her mother & keeps every little scrap of paper that has ever touched her hot little hand, so I am sure we will have those hanging around for awhile...oh joy.
We then bought balloons and stuff for her party, which is on wednesday the 11th. Again, the best day ever.
Then Matt comes home & we blindfold her. we got a bike (brand new mind you.) from our neighbors. Their granddaughter had 2 & so they got rid of this one. Oh happy day for us!!!
When we took the blindfold off she was stunned. Needless to say Matt & I both got HUGE hugs (without even begging for them). She even got a little teary eyed, how cute is that! And then just stared at it and then I got another huge hug! I about started crying. She was SO cute!!!
We then went to toys-r-us and she got a disney princess bike helmet.
It was a lot of fun, and.....
"The BEST day of my life!!!!!"

I married a great man, mainly because he has not killed me...yet

I was stuck in bed most of the day yesterday due to a migraine...well, I think that's what it is.
I kept telling Matt that every time I stood up the room would spin. Kinda scary. And then it just got worse & worse & worse.
Matt finally banished me to bed when I came in the kitchen and sat down next to him while he played on the computer...I about fell over I was SO dizzy & then I almost puked. Yuck!
I ended up so sick that I laid in bed with my eyes covered up, not moving cause I really did not want to puke. I was hungry too...so yeah, Matt got me some pizza & I ate it in bed (felt very mischievous doing this!) while blindfolded. It was weird. But man, I was hungry & I only felt pukey if I opened my eyes, or stood up. And that pizza was mighty tasty!
Matt had to help me up to go to the bathroom. I. Almost. Died.
I was so dizzy & pukey! But I did not throw up once, thank heavens.
Thankfully I was able to keep my ginormous headache at bay with meds!
To make matters worse...I felt fine if I just laid still with my eyes closed. I wasn't tired cause I had kinda slept a lot during the day & I WAS BORED!!!
But I couldn't do anything!!! I did talk to my Mom for a little bit, although by the end of our conversation I felt a little sick. So Matt (what a wonderful guy!!!) put on the Twilight book on CD for me. He sat in the front room and watched G.I. Joe (secretly I was glad I didn't have to end up watching it...shh...it's a secret!).
He was the greatest ever. He helped me so much & I know I am a needy person & being sick just multiples that by a million. So big time kudos to Matt for being so patient with me and not killing me...which I am sure he was very tempted to do. Not that he ever showed impatience with me...bless him!!!
So today I was achy & felt like I was recovering from having the flu. You know, you don't feel sick, but you still ache & your body is just crazy weak??? Know what I mean?
Blahhhh....
So I am just glad I feel better so my Mom & Erin don't have to come visit the sick house this week....that would be bad!
YAY for getting well!!! And priesthood blessings!!!!!! SOOOOO grateful for those!!!

Ward Halloween Carnival

So I just had to share this, cause I still really can't believe it.
My friend Natalie was in charge of our ward halloween carnival & she did a fabulous job!!!
She assigned different booths to the Releif Society, young womens...etc.
Your one flaw Natalie...Oh so sad...I would have made this mistake too I fear.
She put the 2 wierdest guys in our ward in charge of the booth where you touch the gross things. Like spaghetti for brains, and peeled grapes for eyes...ya know what I mean???
Well they made boxes with sleeves on them so you couldnt see what you were touching. The ones for the kids they just reached in and got a piece of candy out....kinda sad to not have the "brains" & stuff in it, but whatever! I never touch that stuff anyway, I know it's fake, but still, especially since I couldn't see it.
So they had a box that they kept trying to get the YM & YW & adults to feel. I absolutely refused because I knew it would be gross.
A couple of girls told me they felt it & it was a moldy cucumber....so sick!!!
Ok so I thought that was super gross & totally unhygienic. But whatever, my kids weren't talking it.
So then rumors started flying & they ended up having to take the box off of the table.
Well let me tell you that I about vomited when I found out what they really had in there...
2 stiff, dead rats.
I am not even kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you believe that????????????
They started showing them to everyone!!!
I was disgusted & think that they definitely should be banished to outer darkness for that one!
Really? Who would do that???
Ugh...

Ghosty Isabelle

Isn't she adorable?????
She absolutely loved being a ghost & it was a super fun costume to make.
So easy too!
My favorite part was watching her trick-or-treat around our neighborhood.
She discovered that when she ran it would fly out behind her!!!
She was so adorable "flying" down the street.
This is a big thanks to my friend Lyndsey. THANKS!!!!
She took these pictures for me @ our ward halloween carnival.
(Yes, our camera is still broken & we have not acquired a new one...yet)
The purple on her face is "BOO."
The young women painted it on for her.
So, yeah, I am already thinking of what the kids should be next year.
Today we watched the Princess Bride. Ben was so loving it. He has been carrying around his swords all day pretend fighting. So I've decided he would make a totally cute Wesley. I want to make him dress all in black & carry a sword. Don't you think that would be adorable??? I think he would like it...but who knows...

Happy Halloween!

Here are some pictures of us from our Robertson Cousins Halloween Party. We hosted this year & it was a success!!!

Grecian god and goddess! (See, no red chunks in the hair!)

Spiderman Ben!

So cute!

Donut on a String game!

Hmmm...the donut is not cooperating!

Cute ghosty Isabelle!

Matt and nieces Ava (in pink) & Aunara (Orange)
He can't get enough of babies!

Thanks to Abby my sis-in-law for taking these pictures so I don't look like the worst mother around who didn't take pictures on Halloween...really, truly my camera is dead...I am not lying.

So Sorry

Ok, so I realize that last post wasn't very nice. I talk about a new do and don't even post a pic. But....now, my camera is broken. I apologize profusely, but what's a girl to do? I will work on getting a picture for ya. Maybe Jolley will take one...she kinda owes me....
Oh and sorry it was so long, read it if you want, or not.

Soooo...how 'bout them apple teeth?

Soooo....I decided to dye my hair.

I really wanted to go a little crazy and get a little spunky on top. So I hashed it out with my good friends....Kristen Jolley, Kristen Peer & Sharon Bee. We all decided that I would look amazing and I had to do it! I wanted to go pretty dark and do chunks of red, and yes I mean crayon red in the front! I was so excited and nervous, but I'm the kind of person where I get an idea in my head and I just have to do it! Peer was going to watch my kids for me and she was glad cause then she would be the first to see it...smart girl. The other 2 wanted me to text them pictures, and I was all for it.

So I get there and I'm super nervous, cause usually when I dye my hair it's me, the bottle & the bathroom. I tell the girl what I want and...ok do I really have to explain the process? No? Ok so we will skip all that!

So after she was all done I looked in the mirror and I wanted to cry. There weren't any red chunks....SO disappointing. There is that bright red, just woven more subtle. I was so bummed. I got to Peer's and she was like "Oh your hair looks...nice." I was like, "yeah, I know, it sucks." She really did like it, it really did turn out nice folks, just not what we were expecting.

So then she asks if I'm going to text the girls, and I was like "NO!" So she tried to take a pic...she is not so sneaky...nice try. So I send one with my hood on....yes, I am a brat.

I end up telling them it wasn't what I had expected, it's ok, just not fabulously awesome. They still insist on a picture and I still insist on a NO! Our ward Halloween Carnival was that night so eventually they would see me and they can just deal 'til then.

Ok, really I should have anticipated a bigger fight, I mean they hang out with me! But my mind was not in a happy place...I really wanted red chunks (wow, now I sound like my kids when they get whiney!).

I get my kids home and realize I hair hair down my back. So Gross! So I go and change and of course those were my only clean pair of jeans so I just wear my garment bottoms and a t-shirt (I was getting into my costume soon so really who cares...grecian goddess & yes I looked fab!). I had to finish some apple teeth for the carnival and I only had like 30 min. So I just sat at the table, yes, in my underwear & worked on the apple teeth (hey, my hands were clean!)

I hear the front door open. Matt was home.
...or so I thought....

I look up and there's Jolley with her head poking around the doorway to my kitchen. The little sneak! I look up and say "um, ya know I'm in my underwear right?" And she's like "Oh, are you?" "Why yes I am." "Huh. Whatever...I need to borrow some black face makeup."

I'm glad we are good enough friends that it didn't even phase her. I of course, got a little pink in the face....The makeup she didnt really need, yeah it was a convenient excuse. But she could have just used mascara (she was a kitty for the carnical).

So....how 'bout them apple teeth!
(which by the way are sliced apples with slivered almonds stuck in them.)
