Secret Keeper

Yup we are moving....but it's still a secret.
We started cleaning out the craft room last night.  It is an insanely packed room full of junk.  But we are halfway through it and it is looking SO good.
The kids are getting used to the idea.  They like me better today than they did on Monday.  Which is good news for me.  We told them not to tell their friends yet.  But I'm sure in a few days they will.  They are much better at keeping secrets than I am.
BTW...it really isn't a secret.  Matt just said I couldn't announce it to the whole world until we get that written offer.  It should be here any day now......

I like to make my children cry.

Matt had his interview.  It lasted an hour and a half!!!!
I was dying!!!!!!!!!!
He was made a verbal offer.  It is a very nice offer.  Which means we are moving.  Which means I am the meanest mother EVER!  More details later...once we get a written offer Matt says I can be more vocal about it.  He really doesn't understand his wife can't keep secrets =)  Well it's not really a secret, just news to keep on the down-low.  Although, I may or may not have told my friend Lyndsey, whose husband is in the bishopric.  News travels fast in our ward...just sayin'.

I also had the worst night's sleep ever last night!!!!  My brain would not shut off.  I even took melatonin.  It didn't help.  It was hot, I had a lot on my mind and drifted in and out of sleep all night.  It is 9:30 in the morning and I am ready for a nap!

EEK!!!

Matt has a job interview today.  It's in Lindon (near Provo.)
I am so anxious about it I am sick to my stomach.
Part of me thinks this would be an awesome opportunity for us & the other part just wants to stay in my comfort zone...my nice, quiet, comfortable Terrace home.
I'm torn.  Matt is torn.  The kids hate us.
I've almost cried.  Matt has not cried (although he has said, "Ah crap." a few times.).  Both kids have cried...more than once.
They will get over it.  Right???

10 years!!!

Last Friday, Matt and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary.  We had SO much fun!!!!!
The kids were in Cache Valley hanging out with cousins and Grandparents.  They didn't miss us at all!
We went to Seven Peaks in Salt Lake (formerly known as Raging Waters) and spent hours going down crazy water slides and floating in the lazy river!  So much fun!
(not the greatest picture, but it was the only one we took.  This was just before we left for the water park)
After we got home we went and saw the movie Snow White and the Hunstman.  We both loved it!!!!
Then we had a late night dessert at Chili's.
Happy 10 years Matt!!!!

Summer Nights...

The kids picked "sleep on the trampoline" out of their fun jar last week!  They loved it!
P.S. We also made sure they had plenty of bug repellent on...I have a genius husband who thinks of these things!

Sooo...

I almost wrote that not much has been going on...but then I realized that that is a huge, big, fat lie!
Really all I can think about is math, which is why I feel like nothing has been going on...except math.  And math is not exciting.
We have been making the most of the summer and if my kids claim they are bored then I will kick them out & they can spend the rest of the summer living in the garage.
We have:
-made pet rocks
-made homemade ice cream
-went to the Dinosaur park
-Went to Classic water slides
-hung out at the indoors pool at the gym
-hung out at the outdoors pool at the gym
-kids slept out on the trampoline Sunday night
-went and walked the beautiful trail at the Ogden River Parkway
-visited family at Matt's uncle's house
-ate ice cream at Farr's fresh (it was raining out so we kinda didn't have an option.  Must have ice cream when it rains!)
-Went to see Journey 2: The Mysterious Island at the kid's summer movies at the mall
-signed up for the library's summer movie program

I made a summer fun jar & so far it has been a success!!!  Most things we have done have been little to no cost..I love coupons! You should make a summer fun jar!  It's awesome!!!  I posted about mine here!  It's truly been so much fun!  Plus the kids have gotten homework & reading done every day!!! (except weekends)

I also have burnt the front of my legs to a crisp...ugh.
DO NOT FORGET SUNSCREEN THIS SUMMER!!!!!
I take my next math test on Friday...it will be amazing...I'm fairly positive about that...
