Happy Thursday Everyone!

*I am listening to Joshua on a podcast that his roommate did. I saw it on facebook & wanted to listen to his dulcet tones. It is pretty entertaining, although a bit random too. His roommate totally just said that Josh is skinny, nerdy & weird....HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! And BTW Joshua, I don't think your puzzles are weird. I think your roommate is just totally jealous of you ;)

*My wreath won!!!!!! HOLLAH!!!! I am supposed to now write a tutorial about it. Sigh...it sometimes is not cool to win...

*Someone commented to my friend that my wreath was pretty cool, but they could not understand why I would put a skull on it. That made me laugh.

*I still have not painted my toenails...I know...I am disgusting. So sue me!

*I have a 2 boxes and 2 bags set to go to the thrift store. It is very liberating. You people should try it. I also threw out a ton of the kids school work from the past couple of years. If I thought it was cool in the moment I kept it, if not....it is now in the round file!

*I went an helped in Ben's class today. I'm really classy, I didn't have a bra on. I did have a bulky sweatshirt though....I guess that made up for it....but probably not.

Forget me not

*My mom's on a cruise. I miss her little nuggets of wisdom that she texts me everyday. I'm a little jealous she is on a cruise. Cruise's are SO much fun! Matt said he will take me on one when I graduate...so in 3 years...that's so far away. But you are all welcome to join us. The more the merrier =)
*I have a massive headache, and am wondering why it won't go away! I guess it just means I get to go to bed early tonight! Hollah!!!
*I am currently cooking wheat berries. I have heard they work great when combined in meals that require ground beef. I have been wanting to try this for years! Today I am making a zucchini lasagna, and so I am only going to do 1/2 lb ground beef & add wheat berries to make up for the rest. Has anyone tried this??? Does it really work??? Hmm...we shall see.

I totally felt the love!!! I just wish one of you could have won our giveaway. I was seriously anxiously awaiting the results this weekend. Oh well, there will be another one though =)
*I am so ready for October to be here. I want to start putting out all of my Halloween decorations! I love Halloween!
*Matt's Mom came to visit us on Saturday. It was a lot of fun having her here. We went to the Harvest Moon Festival. Thought there would be craft booths and such, but they only had booths for kids make & takes, which was super fun for the kids. We came home with a lot of make & takes, and big smiles on our little kiddies faces.
*President Uchdorf's talk at Women's Conference was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I absolutely loved it. i think I am going to read it for FHE tonight and have the kids color something while I read it. It was just so good & I am so glad that I went.

School Carnival

The fundraiser for the kids school this year was a carnival. It was REALLY fun & I hope that they do it again next year. I brought my camera, but only managed to snag 2 pictures. Here the kids are after getting their hair painted... This is Isabelle's teacher Mrs. Gardner! She got to do Isabelle's hair & Iz was SO excited =) (We LOVE Mrs. Gardner!!!!!) She had pink & red stripes done.

Ben got super cool red lightening bolts on both sides! It was way awesome!
They had fun games and a food booth. Lots of fun was had by all =)

We are doing a super cool giveaway this week. I believe it ends on the 24th. All 9 of us girls are contributing something & I am giving away my Halloween countdown blocks. Just some thoughts...

*So I had straight hair last week. Then I went to sleep & it curled a smidgen. Then I straightened it with a straightener I got from Kristen cause it was in her D.I. pile & then I put it in my D.I. pile and thankfully I still had it to use to straighten my hair. Then I washed it this morning and it is curly. I've missed my curls....
*School is going good. I have a yoga class. It is amazing. and apparently I have great body awareness.
*I'm making Isabelle a witch costume for Halloween. She told me she wanted to be wicked, so I bought her a fake witch's nose to wear. It looks AH-mazing!
*I was coerced into contributing to a craft/cooking/whatever blog. It has been kinda fun, but also a little bit intimidating. www.talentedterracegirls.blogspot.com
*The Talented Terrace Girls are doing a giveaway this week! Go check it out! There are 9 of us and we will all be contributing something for our giveaway. I really wish I could enter...so enter & I will feel better about that =)
*Joshua and Mallory came to visit. I think he should marry her. She likes dinosaurs and ate peanut butter on her pancakes....nuff said.
*Isabelle was stung by bees last Friday. I wasn't there, but Kristen was and apparently it was quite horrifying. Kristen couldn't sleep, and Isabelle was thankfully distracted by Joshua and Mallory to not have to relive it that night. I heard the story & it would have given me nightmares!
*I love samples at Costco.
*Matt is super super stressed out right now. It's mainly work, but he is also getting a new calling, and he also has to deal with his neurotic wife. Send him some love.
*I have been working on Halloween projects lately. Crafting is a great stress reliever. I wish I could do it more often.
*Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday. I love making things look spooky & getting to dress up =)
*Isabelle is getting baptized December 3rd. Put it on your calendars. It's still a ways away, but we are all very excited.
*I need to paint my toenails. Erin gave me some fun Red Velvet colored nail polish for my birthday and everyday since then I keep looking at it and thinking today will be the day I paint my toes...but then today just never happens. Maybe tonight. Matt has to work tonight and so maybe I will watch "Persuasion" and paint my toenails.
*Ben loves giving me "Butterfly kisses." And I love receiving them =)
*I go to Weber State's Stress lab every Monday & Wednesday. It is fabulous. I get my blood pressure taken and then get on the Chi Machine. I want to own one of those things.

Summer 2011

So here are some images of what we have been up to lately...lately as in the past forever since I've blogged. =)

I got a dresser & hutch off of freecycle...I finally got around to painting it & when I glazed it....um didn't quite turn out to be what I wanted. So when I finally decide I will post the final product. Matt & I got to go see the final Harry Potter movie!!! It was amazing! And we totally scored these awesome glasses!
Matt's brother Seth & his wife were able to get free tickets and asked us to come along. It was so much fun =)

We had our primary class over to make mini pizza's. They filled up their sticker chart & earned this party. They are such fun & funny kids!

The Ogden temple it being gutted. It is almost completely down now. This picture was taken at the end of July & now the spire and top floor are gone. So sad.

Isabelle got her ears pierced. We were going to wait until she turned 8, but her cousins were here & Cami needed one of her ears repierced & Alyssa wanted to get hers done. So they did it together.

We went shopping and Isabelle & Cami found some fun sparkly shoes!

We went camping with Matt's family at The City of Rocks in Idaho. It was a fun campout. Here are some of our group hiking up the California trail.

My niece Breana is on break from BYU-ID. She will have been with us 7 weeks. We LOVE having her here!!! Isabelle loves having her here , she now has a buddy to play dolls with.

My sister Stephanie and her family were here visiting. We got to celebrate Steph's birthday. Here is Dillon showing off his mad skills at charades.

Bre & I made Steph a "Harry Potter" birthday cake, because they share the same birthday.

Kirk was the boys jungle gym.

The kids got really into making a "dinner" in the kids center at the Church History Museum.

The kids and I have also started school. It is a bit hectic around here, but hopefully things will slow down once we get into a routine. And hopefully I will one day find out how to get pictures off of my new phone so I can show you how cute the kids looked on their first day of school =)
