"HEALTH bars"

So speaking of Heath toffee chips (previous post...)...

I remember when I was little and I would go to the grocery store with my mom. I would see those Heath bars and beg my mom for one. My main argument was they were "health" bars! Apparantly i couldn't read, but darn it...she never fell for it.

Now my kids try to get me to buy treats for them. It gets really annoying, especially with the whining and crying. SHEESH!!!!

....sorry mom!

Sweet!

I made some super yummy apple dip. It is SO delicious! It has cream cheese, brown sugar, cool whip...among other things....plus Heath Toffee Chips! So yummy!! I think I will make myself sick on it!

Does it count as healthy because I am dipping apples in it? If not...it really should be!!!

My Little Man

Ben turned 5 today! Yay Ben! What a clever little boy! We were looking in his baby album this morning...I can't believe he is 5 already. It has seriously flown by. I think of him as my little baby, but I guess I really just need to cut the umbilical cord...sigh...

We went to McDonald's for lunch. He even got to take cookies to preschool and he absolutely LOVED that. They gave a cute little crown and a pencil....oh the simple pleasures of life.

We went out for pizza and then stopped by toys 'r' us. He's on their birthday club so he got a $3 gift card in the mail from them. Thank heavens he didn't want anything expensive! He got a pokemon ball thing and so we only had to fork over $3.18!!!! What a sweet deal!

Of course he got a light saber and bike helmet on saturday at his party so I'm not too cheap, just cheap today =)!!!

He is such a sweet funny kid! He still never hesitates to give me a big wet one or a super hug! He will even sit on my lap and cuddle...oh I just love it. But he is a total boy. The kid can make anything into a gun or sword. He is all over the place!

He is going to be Spiderman for halloween. Last year he was Superman. Next year...maybe Batman...we'll see, I'm sure he wont outgrow super heros anytime soon.

These are his favorites...

color: purple & green

toy: light saber

movie: Pokemon

food: spicy cheese soup (it's my potato soup)

treat: strawberries

game: playdough game

friend: James Bee & Grant Saunders

song: Twinkle, twinkle little star (this has NEVER changed)

place to visit: Grandma Bonnie's

super hero: Flash

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENJAMIN!!!!!!

(ok, so for some odd reason I can't upload any recent pictures...just old ones. Sorry, it is annoying to me too. I'll have Matt look into it...)

What a Flake..

It snowed last night. But thankfully it was warm enough that I didn't have to scrape the car!!! That means Isabelle got to school on time and I am not the worst mother in the world...Yay Me!

huh???

Ok so I am not sure what to blog about.....hmmm....let's find a picture...
So apparantly my pictures dont want to upload. Sorry folks!
Current info about us....
Ben is in a tumbling class & Isabelle is in a dance class. They are LOVING it. They had their halloween dance carnival last friday night. They performed and were SO cute!
Andrew & Josh were able to come which made me very happy.
Saturday we celebrated Ben's 5th birthday. It was army man themed and was LOTS of fun! We also celebrated Andrew's birthday that day too...since it was rightfully his day!
I have started babysitting my friends 2 month old. She is such a sweetie and sleeps and awful lot. I thought by this age they were starting to outgrow that, but hey I'm not complaining!
Matt is down in Provo tonight with his brother Jordan. The new Wheel of Time book is coming out tomorrow and they are going to a signing party tonight at Midnight. So fun adn I am so glad he is going, although I am lonely!
Ben's official birthday is tomorrow and I am wondering where the past 5 years went! How did he get so old? I keep telling these kids to stop growing but they just laugh and think I am joking...I'm NOT joking kiddos! Isabelle turns 6 soon too, life just isn't fair. But it is fun to see them growing up and learning new things. Matt took them out last weekend and was working on having them ride a bike without training wheels. They loved it! Matt said it made him feel so fatherly!
My Mom and sister Erin are coming to visit me in a couple of weeks! Erin usually goes and sees Elizabeth and I am SO excited that it is finally my turn!!!! I just hope I don't bore them...uh...pretend you didnt read that mom & Erin....I am never boring..cough, cough.
It is only 6:15 and I am just waiting for the clock to strike 7 so I can send the kids to bed!!!
Only 45 more minutes to go!!!!!!!

Yes...I am a horrible blogger...

So, it's been awhile...does anyone ever check this thing anymore? I wouldn't...hahaha!

Isabelle the KIndergartener..and her annoying mother

So my sweet little girl has finally gone to school. I'll admit that I got a little teary eyed, but did not do it in front of her. She was so excited to be at school that it was a little easier to leave her...although I do miss her!!!
Her first week of school she had Miss Tensmeyer, whom she loves. Ok so I walked this child into, yes into, her class everyday. Her teacher told us we could, so I did. By the end of the week Miss Tensmeyer would politely say hello to me, but I could just she her mind going..."is this lady going to come everyday...sheesh, get a life woman!" So the next week I let Isabelle go in all by herself, that was not fun...but she was excited and so i let her go.
The next day she was sent home with a note telling me that they hired a fourth kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Schultz, and that starting Thursday (this was a Tuesday) Isabelle would be in the new class. I wasn't sure if I should get upset or not. So I didnt and talked to Isabelle about how fun it would be in this new class. Honestly it was like preparing her for her first day of school all over again (or was it preparing me?). I had some errands to run that morning so we drove to school and I walked her over to her new class. Of course I had anxiety about leaving her...is it ever going to go away??? Of course this teacher is one smart cookie. She had her class line up outside and then go into their classroom. WHAT??? I couldn't walk her in and stay and take pictures???
Friday we also drove to school...again, lots of errands. She informed me that I could just drop her off on the curb and she would be fine. She just kept looking at me like "Will this woman ever leave me alone!" I told her that, no, I would walk her to her class. After a bit a begging (yes that would be me begging) she finally let me walk her to her class. My goodness, am I that much of an embarrassment or is she just trying really hard to be independent? I will continue to walk her to her the front of the school where she lines up, because honestly, I'm not letting my 5 year old loose on the school. But I will calmly wait outside and not make a big deal about it.
So anyway, I still walk her to class, she says she really likes Mrs. Schultz, and everything is good. And I am no longer the annoying mother who clings to her child and embarrasses her.
