Today...

Today was the last day of school.
I am most excited!

Ben & Matt were sick the other night and we were having leftover pancakes.  The boys were laying down and Matt said he didn't want dinner, but Ben wanted some.  While I got him some medicine, Isabelle decided to get his dinner ready.
So cute right???
And if you have never had peanut butter on your pancakes with the syrup than you are totally missing out!

Ben went with his friends to the movies after school today, so Isabelle & I had a girls day out.  We checked out a really girly dress shop Isabelle has been dying to see & then we did our glitter toes while watching "Anne of Green Gables."  Best day EVER!!!!

Helpful Hint...

So here is a little tip for sandal season:
I have a confession (although most of you already know this), I suffer from severely cracked heels.  They are cracked the entire year, just worse in summer cause I wear flip flops.  Anyway, I was at the doctors and before I was only told to use cream and they will be fine (from a different doctor), anyway, he saw my heels and told me to take fish oil supplements....ewww.  But I thought why not try it, I've tried everything else under the sun!  So I am taking 2 capsules 3 times a day.  A lot you may say, but my heels have never looked better.  And I have been only taking them for a week!  I kid you not!  It's amazing!  Plus I have been wearing flip flops a lot and have been not so great with the lotions.  this summer I will not have cracked and bleeding heels....HOORAY!!!  So anyway, just thought I would share!
Have a super day!
ONLY 2 MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Humor

Things I learn late at night during a tutoring session...

Just because it is a BYU textbook,

doesn't mean that it always follows the honor code.

I may be 29, but most of the time I act like I'm 12....just sayin'.

Things that have made me happy...-

...Kristen Jolley went to Disneyland (unbeknown by me) and took of a picture of her kids in front of the watch shop where my Dad worked on Main Street.   Seriously made my day yesterday!!!  And she also went on Splash Mountain for me (BEST ride EVER!)
...I wanted to punch my head teacher in the face and instead acted like the 29 year old that I am and used my words =)
...12 days of school left!!!!!
...Lyndsey Rector is the best math tutor ever!
...Pinterest
...Joshua's getting married!!!!!
...I am making a totally cute skirt for Isabelle out of a women's tank top.  I love using pre-made things to make cuter things.
...Due to having a new math tutor I am much happier with my husband.  Matt + Em + Math = not so bueno, but Lynds + Em + Math = Fiesta (with lots and lots of homework being done...I promise Mom!)
...I am seriously LOVING being in the nursery.
...One of my boys in my class at school has a serious crush on Belle.  At first she was like get me outta here, but then we had a chat and since he is almost 9, but his mentality is that of a 5 year old she is much better about it.  I personally think it is cute, especially because she is very, very sweet to him, and he needs that.
...In 12 days I get to sleep in!
...I love that Belle and Ben treat the kids in my class like normal kids.  Sometimes the kids on the playground aren't so nice to my boys, but my kids will come over to them and ask them to play.  Makes my big old mama heart melt.
...I called my Mom and we talked for over an hour today.  I love phone calls to Mom.
*What's made you happy lately???

Reading Restaurant

Last Wednesday Ben had his Reading Restaurant.
I LOVE the Reading Restaurant & someday when I am a teacher I am so going to do it.
These pictures are out of order & I don't feel like fixing them.  I'm lazy like that.

Here is Ben with his giant flower.

Hands for the petals & a picture of him and his best buddy Daniel Jackson in the middle.

Feet for the leaves and the stem is 51 inches long, which is how tall he is.

He drew a picture of our two birds and wrote a little story about how he likes to help with the birds.

He earned his First Grade Master's Degree!!!

Having our snack at the "restaurant."

Doesn't he look handsome???
He loves this pink tie that he got at Uncle Seth's wedding almost 2 years ago.  It is his absolute favorite!

Reading my "main course."  A Fruit is a Suitcase for a Seed.

Reading one of his poems for my "appetizer."

Getting his award.

I'm so proud of my Ben and the hard work he does at school!
